Fuera de lugar

The work Ecos de un Territorio Perdido (Echoes of a Lost Territory) represents a struggle for space between a native species and an invasive species. Out of place and out of its natural context, the piece invades the exhibition space in the same way the invasive plant takes over and exterminates native plants in the exterior, in their natural environment. The piece aims to replicate what happens in nature—on streets, in parks, etc.—but within a confined space, in order to observe and record the time it will take for the invasive species to eliminate the native one.
