Late Check-out
In the context of a hotel lobby —a space designed for receiving, waiting, and serving— the bell represents the guest’s voice: a gesture of power and immediate attention. Once covered by seeds of native German flowers, that gesture is deactivated. The call becomes fertile but mute, absorbed by living matter.
The work shifts the logic of service toward that of growth, questioning the invisible hierarchies that sustain spaces of hospitality and proposing an ecology of waiting: one in which the response does not arrive out of obedience, but through germination.
