Trayectos

Trayectos

Trayectos is a portable curatorial project that proposes an archaeology of artistic processes through the unfolding of a suitcase functioning as an archive in transit. Presented at La Papelería, Madrid, , this mobile archive brings together objects contributed by artists and cultural agents working in Mexico—materialities that, without necessarily constituting finished works, condense key moments of their explorations, uncertainties, and discoveries.

These are fragments, tools, process remnants, and documents: elements that usually remain outside the exhibition field, yet are vital for understanding the political and sensorial density of an artistic practice.

Each activation of Trayectos is conceived as an encounter. Far from the stable logic of the white cube, the opening of the suitcase becomes an act of mediation and translation—a choreography in which what unfolds is not so much a work as a conversation, a network of relations between materialities and contexts. In this way, the project rehearses a different temporality: that of transit as a form of thought.

Through its incorporation into the exhibition, the toy shifts from a private tool of contemplation to a shared material gesture. It echoes the logic of Trayectos—an archive in transit—where meaning is not fixed but continually rearranged, much like the object itself.
